Destructive Behavior In A Dog
Dog Dental Chew Toy
Destructive behavior in a dog cannot go untouched. While you may like to play games with your dog from time to time, you sure don’t want things to get out of hand. Do you know what I mean? For example, you are in the middle of playing tug-of-war with good old pooch and then the game ends. Immediately pooch begins to chew on the closest thing available, which is your evening gown for the night. Pooch didn’t like the idea of the game ending so soon and thus, your gown suits the deal just fine to keep up the activity. Is this bad behavior? You better believe it. Destructive dog behavior is something not to take lightly.

I like to save money, I really do, and it goes hand in hand with dog training. If you can afford to save a few bucks, do so. What better way to save money from repeatedly buying new clothes of furniture, than to stop the behavior that is causing it? Buying a new couch or a new pair of shoes is not going to make the dog stop ripping them apart, fixing the behavior of pooch will though. You also have to make a decision here. When you do plan to go out of the house, do you want to leave your dog to roam free in your dwelling or do you want to section off the dog into a certain area.
This activity serves two purposes. First, it allows you to have a peace of mind when you leave the house, knowing that your place won’t look like a tornado hit it. Secondly, your dog will only damage part of the house, if it does decide to do this. Just don’t lock the dog up in your home theater room; the last you want to see is the 60” plasma on the floor. I guarantee you that would not make your night. Provide something of use for the dog to use as well, such as a dog dental chew toy.
Don’t punish the dog with something it doesn’t deserve either. I have seen many a punishment for something that was a very minor accident. If your dog is lonely and begins to chew on your shoes, don’t lock it up all day in a crate. Simply give it a chew toy that it is supposed to chew on, and pat it on the head. That is all that is needed. Also remember to give a firm, loud command of “NO” when removing the shoes. If you want your dog well trained, you need dedication and hard work. Nothing in life comes easy, and the same can be said of your pet. -- Stop My Dog From Chewing On Its Paw
