If you have a very aggressive dog in a family with young children, you may need an immediate solution. What to do in this situation? You might consider getting some sort of muzzle device. This is just temporary though. Through proper training you will be able to curve your dog's behavior. Never use the muzzle as a punishment. Don't pull the dog's head hard either. Gentle strong force will do just fine. Remember to always praise your dog for the good they do too.
What is the reason for a dog to become like this? One of the most prominent issues with aggressive dog behavior is biting. Which would then give us two different problems. This is why we want to correct the aggression as soon as it starts. One of the most significant reasons why a dog would become like this, is a lack of control. If you do not spend enough time with your puppy or do not watch over your dog enough, it is going to start running the show. Now there are a few other factors as well.
Is your dog antagonistic of a certain territory around the house or yard? If that is the case, then you are going to want to deduct some of that space which your puppy thinks it owns. Also, it is a wonderful idea if you take your animal for walks on different patterns. A dog will tend to mark the path most travelled as their own after a while. Keep in mind that even though we are fixing bad behavior, it is imperative to praise the good attitude. So what does this mean? When your dog is not acting antagonisticly, give it praise.
Any kind of dog can be properly trained and it is completely unnecessary to do that. A dog can get out of hand for a variety of reasons. Some of the factors which influence their behavior include the sex of the dog, size, genetics, hormonal status, and much more. Different forms of aggression include territorial, maternal, predatory, provoked, and others. Depending on the type of aggression problem your puppy has, you are going to need a special approach for correcting it.
If your dog becomes aggressive, it may do so because it is scared. A dog will do this because they lack some self confidence or if they feel provoked. You have to take your training slowly and remember to praise the accomplishments of your puppy. Spend a lot of time with the animal and allow it to explore new places and objects. The more it can learn about being out in the open with other animals, the less chance it will have of becoming aggressive. -- Correcting Dog Aggression
